Basic CIMPS system for photoelectrochemical research from Zahner:

Shown are light bench with source, and PECC photoelectrochemical cell, with IM6 or Zennium Workstation consisting of integrated FRA and precision potentiostat/galvanostat with EPC40 plug-in card connecting to an EPOT or PP Series external pstatl. Choice of external p/gstats to drive the light source. System measures static and dynamic efficiency transfer function using AC and DC techniques. 

In addition to all standard electrochemical and CIMPS methods, the CIMPS-abs package allows the recording of spectrally resolved absorption/extinction characteristics indpependent of the cell voltage and the cell current. The resulting series of absorbance spectra is automatically stored and the data sets can be visualized, precessed, analyzed and exported in manifold ways by means of the Thales lightspectra software
